VEGAN ANIMAL SANCTUARIES

Have you ever wanted to go visit or volunteer at an animal sanctuary? I know I have! With help of other vegan travelers, I have been able to put a list together of animal sanctuaries around the world. All of the people at these sanctuaries are super heroes in my eyes. Most of the animals that go to these sanctuaries have been tortured, put in bad living situations or close to being eaten before having a home at the sanctuaries. If you want to help make a difference, support the sanctuaries around the world that have went out of their way to make life worth living for these animals. Check out all of the sanctuaries below! Which ones are on your list to visit?

Hi, please add Odd Man Inn, in Washougal, WA, to your list. They are a 501c3, vegan run animal sanctuary.

    Hi,

Winslow Animal Sanctuary in MA is not truly a vegan sanctuary. They offer pony rides, at least last I checked. However, Sunny Meadow Sanctuary in Massachusetts is a vegan sanctuary.

          Hi Kate,

Thanks! I’ll go ahead and add Kanda as well. So I only add sanctuaries that I have been told about. I’m happy to add any sanctuary that is mentioned to me. I’m sure there are a lot of sanctuaries out there that aren’t on the list yet. Hopefully over time, I’ll get them all though 🙂

Just realized you sent me Kanda Farm Sanctuary in the original message. I apologize. I read Erin’s and Kanda Farm Sanctuary as one farm. It’s fixed now!

Oh no worries at all!! I’m actually a co-founder of Kanda and we just “officially” started as a non-profit. So I was just more curious if there was a reason! Lol thank you so much for adding us too!! 💜

Can you add Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue in Hoi An and Hanoi, Vietnam? We have always been vegan, though we are unable to get vegan cat and dog food in Vietnam, all our facilities are vegan and we only teach vegan animal rights education programs. We are just waiting for our American 501c3 now.
I love this list! It makes me feel so much better to know we are not alone!

Gut Aiderbichl is NOT vegan. They are, at best, veggie-friendly. Tierparadies Schabenreith is a VEGAN sanctuary in Austria.

Hi Heidi, thanks so much for the input. Yeah I haven’t had them confirmed 100% vegan so that’s why they don’t have an * beside their name. I will say, it surprises me that any animal sanctuary wouldn’t be vegan.
